National Youth Week 2010

National Youth Week is the single largest celebration of young people on the Australian calendar and runs from April 10-18 this year. It is a joint initiative of the Australian, State, Territory and Local Governments since 2000. NYW encourages people aged 12 to 25 to express their ideas and views, raise issues of concern to them, act on issues that affect their lives and create and enjoy entertainment. NYW showcases and celebrates the amazing contributions young people make to their communities and everyone can get involved.

This years theme "Live It" is all about empowering the youth of Australia and celebrate what young people are doing now and the contributions they are making to the community. You are never too young to take a chance or succeed. So no matter who you are or what you are pssionate about, you can get involved and make your mark now.
